New cultures, new experiences, new visions of something you’ve never seen and with all of this the floodgates of inspiration, the feeling of floating, the feeling of freedom and total weightlessness.
Then we return home, and try to hold on to those feelings but often the first sight of something that reminds of our day to day suddenly zaps the magic.
Let’s reverse engineer your home life to recreate that sense of adventure, wonder, joy, delight, fun and the rush of inspiration.
CREATE SACRED SPACE
I began learning about this practice back in 2007, and its something I do often, but it dawned on me, I need to start sharing it!
In this book I was exposed to when working in NYC, (link below), the author teaches us how to raise the energy in your home.
A.K.A. HOW TO CREATE HIGH VIBES
This simple practice is a Balinese tradition. They simply keep their home extremely clean, like cleaning a little bit every single day, so its not this huge mounting chore. And they throw their home a birthday part, with flowers candles, incense and ways to clean out any heaviness a space may have.
GET RID OF THINGS, AND INCREASE YOUR SENSE OF FREEDOM
Release those things you do not love. Possessions weigh you down. Which is why back to the why we feel so light and free when we travel.
Get that travel magic back!
Read these two books, and apply the clearing, cleansing and releasing techniques. Learn how to keep only the items you truly love. Get rid of the broken, the stained, the outgrown, all of it.
Then get practical, shop for the perfect item you need to hide all of the UNSIGHTLY CORDS you have everywhere (from the laptop, cell phone, ipad, cable boxes, internet, etc.)
Create a Pinterest board, and save images from all of your favorite places you’ve traveled, pin images of the food, the wine, the architecture, the fabrics, the rugs, the lights, the fashion, the nature, the animals, the colors and textures. These can lead to inspiration ideas you may want to use in your home.

ENJOY THAT FEELING YOU HAVE WHEN YOU COME BACK FROM A TRIP MORE OFTEN
